Another peripheral home security device produced by DSC, the Bravo6 was developed to provide maximum false alarm immunity while still keeping you safe. The motion detector relies upon a twin, dual element PIR sensor to detect the motion. The PIR sensor contains a unique lens and advanced digital signal analysis ability, providing accurate motion detection of threats while eliminating typical false alarm situations, such as pets or household pests. The sensor has a 100-degree horizontal coverage area and is able to cover most normal sized rooms. The device also has a 7-degree vertical movement range, so you can adjust the device to best cover any area.

The BV600 DSC Bravo6 Dual PIR Motion Detector uses radio frequencies to detect motion and limits the radio frequencies it picks up to accomplish pet immunity. The device has Radiated immunity at 20 V/m with 80% AM over the range 27 MHz to 1.0 GHz, a Conducted immunity at 10V with 80% Am over the range 150kHz to 80 MHz and a static immunity up to 15 kV. All of those technical specifications mean that the device will ignore the radio frequencies beyond the human norm, dismissing birds, pets and other background noises, but still noticing the human elements that attempt to sneak past the motion detector. The motion detector will also detect human walking between 0.15 meters per second and 3 meters per second, making sure that not even someone moving very fast or very slow can get by its sensors.
